Privacy Policy
This policy covers the whole of integrationfieldnotes.com — the field notes, the weekly jobs digest, and the integration-audit request form.
Who we are
Integration Field Notes operates this site and is the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact: [email protected].
What we collect, and why
We only collect personal data you actively give us, and only for the purpose you gave it for:
- Field-notes subscription — your email address, to send you new field notes as they're published. A separate list from the jobs digest.
- Jobs-digest subscription — your email address, to send you the weekly "Integration Jobs Weekly" email. That is the only use.
- Audit request form (/work) — your email address and whatever you write in the description field, used solely to read, scope and reply to your request.
Reading the field notes requires nothing at all — no account, no name, no tracking cookies. We keep only basic, aggregate traffic counts (page views and where visits come from) to see what's read. These use no cookies and store no IP address — a visitor is recorded as a daily one-way hash that cannot be traced back to you — and nothing is shared with any advertising network.
Legal basis
Your consent for the jobs subscription (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), withdrawable anytime via the unsubscribe link in every email. For an audit request, our processing rests on taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Who else processes your data
- Resend (email delivery) — stores your address to send the digest and to relay audit requests. As a US provider, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses / Data Privacy Framework).
- Hetzner (hosting, Germany, EU) and Cloudflare (CDN/security) — Cloudflare may set essential security cookies, which are strictly necessary and require no consent.
How long we keep it
Digest subscribers: until you unsubscribe, at which point your address is removed from the sending list. Audit requests: kept only as long as needed to handle the request and any resulting work, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, rectify, erase, or port your data, and object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these, or to withdraw consent, email [email protected] — we respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we keep data collection to the minimum needed for each purpose.
